Kayaking, Canoeing, and Paddleboarding

Shingle Beach boasts a 5km stretch of beach ideal for exploration. With Island Marine Parks in close proximity, it serves as an excellent starting point for further adventures.

Beach Time

So many things to do on the beach from Rock hounding, Suntanning, Swimming , Fishing , Scuba Diving, and Beachcombing. Find a “flower rock” (star porphyry volcanic) a black volcanic stone with white, flower shaped, crystals unique to Texada.

Hiking and Mountain Biking

There are many hiking trails on Texada and a few close to Shingle Beach. A short walk takes you to a beautiful bluff and close by is the Stomberg Falls. If you enjoy geocaching there are some to find here. Texada has many great Mountain Bike Trails and roadways. Be sure to bring the bikes on your camping adventure.

Bird Watching

Texada island is home to over 250 varieties of local and migratory birds. Bird watchers value the diversity of species, continually seeking out new species, calls, and behaviors.
