Driving Directions

Google Maps will not take you all the way to Shingle Beach Please follow directional signage.  

Drive off the BC ferry from Powell River/Comox.
Follow Blubber Bay Road for 8.7 km,
Turn RIGHT on Gillies Bay Road. There is a gas station on the corner. 
Continue 23.8 km then
Turn LEFT on Shelter Point Road.

*IMPORTANT:*

As you pass the sanitation dump on your right,
there will be 
a right turn off the pavement onto Dirt,
there is a sign there 
that says  SHINGLE —->  
Turn Right. 
At 24.1 km turn RIGHT onto (This is the total KM since you departed the ferry)
 Mouat Bay Road

Follow the gravel road to 25.4 km then

Turn LEFT onto Texada Forest Service Road.  There is a sign Shingle Beach Recreation Site 12 Km. 
Stay LEFT at 34.7 km, You will see another Sign indicating Camping. 
Turn RIGHT at 35 km and at 37.3 km turn RIGHT onto

the 500 metre access road leading into the:

Shingle Beach Recreation Site.
